Why I am Running for Mayor
For the past three years the focus of the current mayor’s office has been the arrival of light rail and all the construction surrounding the light rail station. Density around the Alderwood Mall and the Light Rail station has increased as over 3,000 apartments have been built or are now in construction. For over two years residents were rerouted and delayed as 196th and 200th streets were rebuilt.
As the trains now arrive every eight minutes and construction cranes still dominate the skyline, I wonder if we are losing sight of the heart of Lynnwood? Our residents, both new and old, need to know their city government will make it a priority to ensure Lynnwood is a city where you can both work and live in.

As your new mayor, that will be my focus. No one in our city should be overburdened by taxes and fees. Our streets must be safe and walkable. Our parks need to be enjoyable green spaces. Businesses deserve to be supported and encouraged, not burdened with limitations and obstacles for growth.
Policies are needed that will ensure there are jobs in Lynnwood that provide good living wages. These are my priorities, and I ask for your vote to be your next mayor.
